You have already identified the constraints and probable issue of purchasing such a unit, therefore why are you still considering such projects? There is always some intangible values to a property that buyer will have in making a decision to purchase or not and it differs from person to person. If this intangible value outweigh the monetary value, then perhaps it will be a good buy. As property ages, its appeal may wane off and the only consolation such homewoners can get will be through enbloc sale at much later stage.
