Why do estate agents keep posting photos of HDB lifts and the exterior of the block which looks all the same throughout Singapore ? Or post pictures of playgrounds that looks old and unattractive ? I've even seen photos of letterboxes at the void deck ?!?! Am I the only one who thinks those are unattractive and uninteresting features when trying to selling half a million dollars worth of a home (on the basis of an average 5 room flat) ? Is there something I'm missing here ?

It's just that I'm appalled by the quality of the images seen around on property guru and I'm scratching my head. I've never seen any images so bad for trying to promote houses that costs half a million - I just keep wondering how can blurred pixalated images, bad lighting, untidy and messy spaces can attract any buyers to even contact agents? (Doesn't the agent advise the owners to tidy the area up even if it's just for a photoshoot session to attract buyers?)
ie. - one will try to check oneself out in the mirror for the last time just before stepping out ? No ?
My only guess to this phenomenon is that the housing market and property speculations are going so well in Singapore that there is practically no effort needed to attract buyers at all?
That even posting unattractive pictures sells and moves the listings ?? Simply put - the demand outweighs the supply so much that basically anything goes ?
