When signing the Letter of intent and tenancy agreement, how can I be sure that the name of owner that's stated on the two letters are the genuine owner of the property? I'm a little worried about getting conned into paying out the booking deposit and security deposit.

Get your respective agent to do a owner check for you. Your agent should ensure that the owner is the rightful owner for the property before you lease the property. Ask for proof of ownership before placement of deposit Read More

Evening Jane,

I agree with Evelyn's statement. If you are getting the TA settled wi the assistance of a qualified salesperson, ask him to provide his assistance to clarify your doubts. That's what you are paying commission for, peace of mind.
