What's the usual minimum lease period for renting entire Studio / 1BR condo apartments?

I'm looking to stay long-term (several years), but I want to make sure that the environment is conducive (quiet environment, no crazy neighbors)

I've tried asking a few and they require a 1-year minimum lease period. Is that the norm?

Is it possible to find shorter lease that's 3 or 6 months when it comes to renting entire studio/1br condo apartment

would appreciate any advice

Hi, most landlords would prefer a min of 1 year lease and not shorter than that.

Dear sir/madam,

It is definitely possible to look for units with shorter minimum lease period, however, as what Aaron has indicated earlier, most landlord will prefer to look at minimum 1 year lease period, therefore unless there is specific reason for landlord to consider short term lease, perhaps landlord may want to move in after certain period, or the less favoured apartments by the general pool of tenants, it is going to be a tough assignment definitely to find something for short term.
