Good afternoon Esmond,

Contra means that you can sell and buy HDB with the sale proceeds and CPF refunded funds at the same time. But do take note that this can only be done if you used HDB loan for current flat and will be using HDB loan for your purchase as well.

Hdb Contra provides a seamless flow of funds between your sale & purchase transactions, hence you can do both hdb appointments at the same time. Only available for transactions with HDB loans. Hi Mr Low,

Contra will allow you to sell your current HDB and buy another HDB at the same time. ie. the completion date for the sale is the same as the completion date for your purchase.

For a contra to be done seamlessly, the timeline for the sale and purchase must be co-ordinated so that you will not be required to find a temporary place to stay. There must only be a single contra party in the whole transaction.
