Afternoon Goh,

Only authorized tenants with valid documentation are allowed to stay in the rented unit. If the tenant can add any other tenants in anytime, how would landlord ensure that all tenants are legal?

Dear Mr/Ms Goh,

You will need to check if the tenancy agreement has any clauses on addition of tenants. Typically, the tenancy agreements my clients have used do not allow addition of tenants unless approval has been granted by landlord. Otherwise, the tenants are deemed to have violated the tenancy agreement.
