Afternoon Jun,

Once the OTP have being exercised, neither parties can backout from the contract. If you want to go through with the purchase, you can request for specific performance. Otherwise, you can choose to let go of the unit and continue hunting for other units. Whatever cost, be it difference in purchase price, legal fee, bank's admin charges, etc will have to be taken by your seller.

I believe your salesperson would be more than well versed to assist your accordingly.

Hi Jun,

Best is for you to ring up a Legal firm to check on the rights you have against seller.

I believe they are the best party to advise you all the various choices you have. Example like asking for your deposit back with certain amount of compensation from seller & move on, Or go on sue them if the unit means alot to you.

To me, don't waste your time on such cases, like what one of my clients has experienced. Time, resources & opportunity can be wasted pursuing this issue further.

Buying a flat should be a happy occasion... what is the point of staying in that unit which constantly reminding you the unhappiness during your purchase?

Wishing you the best..
