Hi David,

For private resale, its done under private treaty, meaning any terms & conditions can be agreed upon so long as both sellers and buyers agree, even for a long duration for the option period. Typically when such a clause is required, I will assess the pros & cons for the seller client and try to negotiate for something in return for the seller client. For your info, the norm is 14 days option period.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Warm Regards,

Hi Mr. David,

You did not mentioned whether you are buying HDB or private.

HDB: max 21 days, a standard by HDB rules and regulations.

Private: need to discussed and agreed by both parties.

There are no rules and regulations not to exercise in earlier or later period. The wait out period mainly is due to valuation timing needed so as to qualify for the loan.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more queries, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards

Hi,

If you are referring to private transactions, there is no fixed rule on how long the option period is.

As long as it is agreed by both parties, a 7-month option period is still possible.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you and your partner in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Hi David, for your question, yes it is legal as long as both seller and buyer can agree on that.
