For me, I always believe 2% is a justified rate in order to exhaust all available marketing options and be motivated to achieve the best price. Just imagine that should you be quoted a tiered commission scheme by a salesperson, will he strive for the best price for you after knowing your base price or quickly close your case and move on? Appointing a salesperson is not about who charges cheaper commission but rather who has more potential in reaching out to the most prospective buyers willing to pay a premium for your unit.
