Expats can be single, couple, with or without kids.

For singles, they tend to live near work place.

For those with children, they tend to live closer to schools.

It also depends on your occupation.

For more information, kindly furnish the following to me :
1. occupation / work location
2. single / family / with(out) kids
3. city person or suburb lover

if you can provide the above info, i will be able to give you a full coverage of Where is the favorite location for Expats.

Dear sir/madam,

From my experiences serving mainly expatriate tenants, if price range is not a concern, most of them would prefer to stay in town area especially along the Orchard belt, however, as with most of what my fellow professionals have indicated, it will greatly depend on individual profile and needs. If you are relocated into Singapore as an individual and a healthy allowance of $3500 a month, you could probably look for a shoebox size apartment in the Orchard belt (probably Mount Sophia), where you can get downtown in a matter of minutes. We will be able to help better if we are able to know more about what your profile is before we make recommendations perhaps.

Join your fellow expats at the facebook group "New Singapore Expats" and gain more information about relocating into Singapore or make friends with fellow expats.
