What are my chances of a successful appeal for owning an overseas property? I am a Singapore citizen, and my wife is a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR). Her parents purchased a house overseas using a loan under her name because they were unable to obtain financing themselves. The property was not bought as an investment—it is occupied by her parents and sister, and neither my wife nor I receive any rental income or financial benefit from it. Would these circumstances improve the chances of a successful appeal?
