Hi Gavin, most landlords would go for a minimum of 1 year lease but some would not mind 6 months.

Hi Gavin,

Answer to your 3 questions;

1) Yes, 6 months rent is possible
2) If the landlord is only looking for a year lease, then he will not accept 6 months.
3) Clause and conditions is the same as one year lease, unless the landlord has additional clause to add in, early termination you have have to pay pro rated commission back to the landlord, etc...

Most of the landlord prefer 1 years lease, if you really keen specific property lease. You will likely fortified 1.5 months deposit if you left after 6 month. 1 month deposit + 0.5 month agent commission.
