We rented a whole 3-bedroom hdb flat.
In my understanding, up to 6 tenants can stay, but our landlord allows only five.
Does she has the right to limit the number of tenants in a 3-bedroom house?
Can we do something about it pls? as the rental fees are too high to split between 5 people.
And my second question is that when there is a change in tenants (like one of us leaves), can the landlord control who not to replace? (For example, Female tenant is not allowed to replace). In my opinion, as long as a person is in possession of a valid pass should be allowed to stay. This seems gender discrimination to me.
I hope you can clarify my uncertainties.
Thank You Very Much.
