We have signed a Letter of Intend to rent a flat after viweing it and having been told (paper from our agent + announce in Property Guru) it was 1300sqf in size. Before signing the tenancy agreement, we have just found out that the flat is smaller (70sqf). It is a case of misrepresentation for us as we wouldn't have committed to the LoI if we had knew the real size of the property. Our agent was apparently not aware of the real size. Can we just refuse to sign the Tenancy agreement and have our deposit back? Can we raise a complaint and in that case towards who?
