We are planning to buy a 1.2m 3bedroom condo in the west. Besides to pay for the 1.2m condo, any other cost that we need to set aside, eg stamp duty, legal fees... We have no other property right now.

Hi, besides stamp duty, there are additional stamp duty (depends on your conditions), legal fee. 20% cash of the purchase price is expected if bank loan is 80%. Dear buyer, Cash component for any private property purchase will be minimum 5% of the purchase price. You may wish to opt in CPF as well for the first 20% downpayment with remaining utilising loan. More importantly in today's market is the loan quantum you are eligible for as I have come across many buyers lately that wrongly estimated their loan eligibility after speaking with a banker. If the figures you have set out above is a qualified figure, it is safe to proceed with the househunting, otherwise please check back with a banker proper.     Hi, we are eligible to loan 640k for hdb or 1.3m for condo so hopefully a loan of 800k is safe for us, yet to do AIP as banker waiting for us to confirm hdb or condo.

Good evening! Will you be interested in Lakeville? It's a new launch near Lakeside MRT. You should be able to purchase a 3 bedders at a budget of $1.2M. Btw in regards to your doubts, yes 20% downpayment will make up of cash and CPF components respectively. Cash is 5% while CPF OA funds will be 15% (cash if shortfall). If both of you are singaporeans, you will be subject to estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty.
