Given the current sentiments, I am actually curious to find out why are you still interested with getting a residential property as a 2nd property with investment in mind? Most investors with the budget you have mentioned are looking into commercial or industrial property where the additional buyer's stamp duty is not applicable. For others who are looking at long term prospects, they are also considering landed properties given the demographics in Singapore being a land scarce nation and the absence of any freehold landed properties being launched, it makes more worthwhile to consider a freehold landed property instead than a condo where oversupply is anticipated.
I do have a couple of $2.5m range landed homes for your considerations if you are keen. In addition, commercial units in this price range is also available.
