There is an option to renew clause for another year at the prevailing market rate in my agreement with my tenant when the lease expires 3 months later from now. I am thinking of moving back to stay? Can i don't renew the lease with the tenant and did i violate any law as there is a renewal clause?

Good morning,

As you said that it's n Option to renew but that does not mean that as landlord, you are obliged to renew it on whatever ground you are in. Hence you can notify your tenants that you are taking back the unit after the lease expire so that they can proceed with the hunt for their next unit.
