Some property agents asking agent commission from tenant. Is it legal?

Hi Alice,
Yes, it is legal (and only right) to collect commission from the Tenant if the Agent is representing the Tenant.
However, if the Agent is also collecting commission from the Landlord (means he's representing Landlord), then it's illegal. Agents cannot dual-represent.
