Thanks for your post in Propertyguru.

From what you have mentioned, I personally will feel that holding on to your fully paid HDB and getting a private condo would be a better choice. Of course when we look at getting a condo while holding on to your HDB will also means other factors to consider like your Additional Buyer Stamp Duty, CPF Minimum Sum, etc.

one important thing that you might want to do first, will really be to speak to a banker and get a In-Principle-Approval for your loan and from there, we will be in a better position to plan further. My primary interest for my clients will always be to multiply their property portfolio.

Maybe if you are free, we can meet up for a non obligatory chat and I can help to analyse the situation further for you and provide you better advice after going through the concerns for you. LIke mentioned earlier, if possible, I would love to help you to achieve keeping your HDB and purchasing a 2nd property.
