Own HDB less than 5 years, cannot purchase private, is it true?

Afternoon,
This would depend on your completion date and whether it's a subsidized unit. If you unit is purchased between 5 Mar 2010 to 29 Mar 2010, without grant, your MOP is 3 years. Anything earlier than that, with bank loan will have one year MOP requirement.
