Dear sir/madam, With increasing number of citizens and PR, of course the pool of buyers for HDB will be bigger since more people will be eligible, however, that does not equate to these converts are definitely buying a HDB. I am unsure where is your reference from to indicate that foreigners will mostly invest in city area as we have foreigners purchasing mass market condos in the various housing estates as well. The foreigners working in Singapore these days are very much different from yesteryears in that many of them are drawing local salary package instead of expat packages therefore affordability will also be part of their concern when they make purchases. Being a mass market condo or EC when it MOPs, these units will appeal to buyers who have limited buying power and will be appealing to them both as a home or vehicle to gain rental income.
