Yes for 2nd property joint name purchase, you can keep both hdb and condo as long as there's 1 SC in the purchase. However do note your ABSD will be 10% as its based on the higher taxable rate.

Evening,

As your spouse is SC, you are eligible to keep your HDB unit upon purchase of second property. However, ABSD payable will be 10% instead of 7%.

Good evening buyers,

As long as one of you is a Singaporean, you can hold on to HDB and purchase a private property.

By the way do take note of these cooling measures if you decide to hold on to HDB and buy second property:

1) 10% ABSD (higher of 10% as SPR or 7% as SC)
2) if you have utilised CPF OA funds in HDB, you have to set aside basic retirement sum $80.5k in CPF OA + SA before you can use the excess OA funds to purchase this property.
