Hi Wee,

Apart from getting a lawyer to issue a letter of demand, you can demand damages in terms of interest due in accordance with the terms stipulated in your tenancy agreement.

In cases I have handled, we normally evict the tenant should more than 2 months of rental arrears. The lawyers are also called in to demand payment despite eviction, and for any damage to the property as a result.

Your property agent that had handled the rental on your behalf should be involved in this matter.

Should you require more advice on this, or contacts of lawyers - which I have 2 buddies who i often refer my clients to (I do not receive any referral fee for recommending them).

Need help let me know.
