My tenancy agreement in the HDB i'm living in currently ends 14 Mar and i've found another place where I can start only by 19th Mar. What is the procedure to extend the lease by 1 week in the current place? or any grace periods apply? My owner insists that I should not extend above my agreed period.

Hi PPN,

You should have ensured that you are able to extend for 1 week at your current place before committing to the new place. The owner has the right not to extend your 1 week required and I doubt any owners will be open for 1 week rental, besides you still have your luggages and belongings in tow.
