Good morning,

As your in laws are considered legally married, your FIL is not eligible to purchase a resale HDB by himself. He has to form a family nucleus with your MIL in order to purchase a resale HDB.

As of now, he is only eligible to purchase a private property unless there's a change in his marital status.

Hope my sharing is beneficial to his property purchase.

May I know how can I continue to value add in this purchase?

Hi,

As officially they are still legally married, your father-in-law is not eligible to purchase resale hdb or BTO on his sole name. He will need to form a family nucleus with your mother-in-law to apply.

He is definitely eligible for another private property as long as the finances are comfortable. Thanks and hope to value-add to your housing plans further.
