My mother is 63 this year, she used to own a house with my late dad, after which she sold that house and bought another with my eldest brother, a few years later she removed her name from the house and bought another house with my second brother. Right now she still is a co-owner with my brother; my brother wants to remove my mother’s name and make his wife the Co-owner. My question is, will my mother’s CPF be “locked” (not able to buy a house) after she removes her name as the Co-owner. Will I, the last son be able to buy a house with her? And if it’s possible, will I be eligible for any CPF Housing Grant. From what I read, I can only receive the 15k grant correct? Is there any other scheme that I can tap.
