Hi,

It will not be possible to buy the condo now as your MOP is Jan 2017, you need to wait out the duration till then. If you're purchasing on your sole name, its not possible to get the ABSD refund. Btw, are you referring to EC or private condo?

You will need to wait till after Jan 2017 to be able to purchase a condo, be it under construction or resale condo.

To get the ABSD remission, you would need to sell off your HDB within 6 months of completion of your purchased condo. You will need to "declare" this condo as your matrimonial home.

I am afraid to inform you that you have to wait till Jan 2017 in order to be eligible to purchase a private condo.

In addition, you are not eligible to apply for ABSD remission (clawback of ABSD) if you are purchasing under your sole name.

ABSD remission is possible if you will to be purchasing with your spouse and disposal of your HDB Is within 6 months from private property purchase completion as IRAS will grant you exemption. They will treat it as your matrimonial home.

By the way, care to share is your HDB a BTO or resale flat? If resale flat with or without housing grant?

As mentioned by the rest, you will need to fulfil the Minimum Occupation Period before you will be eligible to purchase a condo. If you purchase it under a sole owner, you will NOT be eligible for the ABSD remission for a married couple. You may refer to this link for more information:
