My friend rented out her London UK Apartment yearly to a property management company which the company rent it out again as a short term rental. Is there such a business like that in Singapore?

Residential properties in Singapore is regulated, therefore all rentals must be done in accordance to the regulations. Short term rental of less than 6 months is not permitted. Instead of renting out to a company who further sublets, you can appoint a managing agent here in Singapore to manage the affairs of your investment property. Of course, it will then be subjected to management fees, on top of the service fees for brokering the rental deal.
