My condo is going to TOP in Dec 2012. Is it adviseable for me to sell off my unit (Sell high) and repurchase another unit within the same condo project (buy low)? What are the cost involve? Eg: seller stamp duty or buyer stamp duty? Pls advise.

Afternoon Mrs. Wee,

If you have purchased your current unit from project launch, you would have escaped the SSD regulation introduced in Feb 2010. But what triggers the idea on possibility to sell high and buy low, assuming same sized unit, within the same project? If you are downgrading, there's a chance to cash out. Otherwise, it might be tough. In reference to Buyer Stamp Duty, it would depend on how many properties you have at hand and your citizenship status.

Hello Mrs Wee, since your project is going to TOP, I think you might not be affected by the new seller stamp duty. However for your next property, you will be subject to certain terms and condition. Kindly give me a call at 92700867  for a more detailed discussion if I can assist you.
