My buyer(A) is doing a HDB contra and his buyer(B), who is a PR, is short of $20k to buy over A's flat. On the 2nd appointment date, B still doesn't have the money and postpone it a week later. A week later, all of us meet at HDB hub and B still doesn't have 20k. B said he will have the money remitted to him in that few days and postpone the 2nd appointment to the next week. To cut the story short, B kept postponing and now this is his 4th time postponing the 2nd appointment to another week.

Please advise what legal action can we take upon him. We are pending the sale proceeds of our house for a downpayment for another house. To top it off, we have already sent our items to storage a week prior to the very first 2nd appointment date before B mentioned he didn't have enough cash. We have since rented a room when we sent our things to storage.

All these postponing is wasting our time and money . Please help. Thank you.

Evening LS,

From your statement, your buyer and buyer's buyer are going through the transaction without doing their own homework and without experienced salesperson. Hence all of you are lost as you have nobody to turn to. Since you have paid the lawyers to get the work done, why not ensure that you get the best from their services as none of you trusted the services of an experienced and qualified salesperson?

In short, specific performance and compensation is your key. The issue is how you going to go about it.

All the best
