Must we engage a housing agent to buy/sell/rent a property?

Afternoon,
The plain answer is NO. You can don't go to Chicken rice stall to eat chicken rice. You can cook it on your own. Getting the right ingredient, know how and experience will allow you to prepare a good plate of chicken rice. However, property, unlike chicken rice, have no rooms for error. As your buyer or seller can choose to sue you for compensation for mistakes that which lead to possible delay.

Dear sir/madam,
There is absolute no regulations governing anyone to engage the service of a real estate salesperson for selling/buying/renting a property. What consumers do so is due to the industrial know how of what a registered salesperson to add value to the potential property that he/she is looking at, on top of the procedural know-how to conduct a transaction to avoid any delays or damages to the other party.
With your enquiry as such, should you decided to take up the selling/buying/renting of properties on your own today, I am afraid that you are already taking a huge risk since it appears that you have no regulations knowledge about this procedure.
