Looking to rent out 2 common bedrooms in a HDB flat, but was told by an agent recommended to me that the rental market is not good at the moment. Is it true that i am unable to rent out the rooms at the moment ?

Information on rental unit :
- 2 common bedrooms, furnished with bed, wardrobe and small table
- Light cooking allowed
- Shared Bathroom/toilet
- Shared common space (Living room / Kitchen)
- Elderly landlord will be living in the apartment with a helper
- Near Hougang MRT

These 2 rooms were previously rented out for 4 years, but tenants have returned to their home countries, so landlord is looking to find new tenants.

Room rentals near MRT stations like Hougang remain in steady demand, particularly from working adults and foreign workers. The overall market may have softened slightly for whole units but well-located furnished rooms with an MRT nearby continue to move well.

In general, units near MRT is still in demand, however, due to an influx of units in market, the rental amount may not be as attractive as before.
