Let say i have a HDB now, i sell and buy another resale HDB. Assuming 1 year later, i sell off the resale HDB am i still able to buy a private; considering i dont have any HDB left.

You need to fulfil the 5 years MOP for HDB before eligible to sell. This applies to brand new ECs as well.
