Just wondering, is it better to go for big well known developers projects (FE, UOL, etc) or small developer projects? I am a single man, who does not need extravagant facilities. However, I am afraid that small developer projects will not be as resellable due to lack of facilities.

Also, whats the difference between having say 40 or 50 units in a development compared to hundreds of units?

3 Key Things in property investment:

1. Location (most seem to have overlook this fundamental)
Good location in my opinions fetch good prices whether they have facilties or not. Yes with facilties, prices are better but that doesn't mean those without facilties lose out alot.

2. Affordability. Holding Power is key in real estate as it is not as liquid as paper investment such as stocks.

3. Close to amenitites (same as location acutally). Who needs any facilities if it is close to amenities. Food, groceries, e.t.c.
We don't drink water from swimming pool or free barberque food at the bbq pit of condos?

We still need to go out for good e.t.c. Exercise like jogging can always done outdoor around the vicinity. How many times a year do you think you will use the facilities?

There are many who like facilties which is an important selling factor for condos and are many who buy because of that and they do use the facilities. At the end it really depends on what you want and of course 3 key points stated here.
