Congratulations on your achievements in passing the RES exam. I am unsure of what type of advise do you need.
I started off my career as a part timer, holding a full time engineering job in a SME, before switching to a full time career back in 2011.
Throughout my time as a part timer, I had only clocked in 3 transactions. Reason being, I do not have the necessary time to focus on what I need to do like answering enquiries from the properties that I was marketing therefore I have missed on countless opportunities. More importantly, I was running this part time business as an individual, therefore the advise I can probably give is that you should be looking out for a team that can provide support for you from point A to Z, while you contribute back whatever you have during your time available. In this aspect, even while you are at work, you will not be missing out on prospective closing opportunities. More importantly is to really be focused in your time allocation for this business to run and not take for granted that everything will be taken care of by the team and you can just rely on the team to make easy money.
The industry as a realtor has evolved a lot that we constantly look out for opportunities and strategies to improve our business and add on value to our prospective clients. It is definitely fun and exciting moving forward even with the cooling measures felt by the real estate market.
