It is so frustrating to see all the new condos having large balcony, tiny bedrooms and no yard for drying laundry. It is more frustrating to find out that it was URA who in 2001 encouraged developers to build apartments with balconies (10% of GFA). Balconies are not livable space! Some like it and some don't, but with URA's incentive to developers, almost every apartment built after 2005 has a huge balcony. I think it is time for URA to change this policy especially when it is an eyesore to see laundry placed in the balconies of these so called luxurious condos! Can Singaporeans collectively lobby for URA to change this policy?
