Afternoon,

This would actual depend on your risk appetite and how much liquidity you have.
Some investors prefer to take loan and invest their spare cash on other investment machine. Some prefer to go without loan and lead a simple life, thus during property appreciation, they can just sell and be free from emcumbrance.
It's totally how you look at your investment tool.
