Hi, yes anything is possible, as long as the tenancy agreement is valid and all the proper paperwork has been done. However, the benefits of having an agent is to ensure the tenancy agreement did not miss out any important points as well as to assist either parties in term of advice or assistance should there be any disparity from the agreement.

Hi, hopefully you managed to get your doubt or query answered. If, so then congrats! Hopefully you are doing well now.

If you are currently or planning to find a property agent, I can assist.

Yes, it is perfectly legal to have a tenancy agreement between a landlord and tenant in Singapore without involving an agent. Here's a breakdown:

Validity: A well-drafted tenancy agreement signed by both parties is a legally binding contract, regardless of using an agent.

Benefits of an Agent: While not mandatory, using an agent can offer advantages like:

Drafting Assistance: Agents can help ensure the agreement is comprehensive and addresses key points.
Mediation: If disputes arise, agents can sometimes act as mediators.
DIY Option: If you choose to proceed without an agent, ensure the agreement includes essential details like:

Names and contact details of landlord and tenant
Address of the property
Rental period and amount
Payment terms (due date, late fees)
Security deposit details
Utilities and maintenance responsibilities
Termination clauses
Here are some resources for tenancy agreements:

Remember, while a basic agreement might suffice, it's always recommended to carefully review the document to ensure it protects the interests of both parties.

- Yes, it's possible to have a tenancy agreement between landlord and tenant without an agent.
- Legal Clarity: Ensure the tenancy agreement covers all essential terms, such as rent, deposit, maintenance, and termination clauses.
- Templates: Use a standard tenancy agreement template from trusted sources like the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) for legal compliance.
- Due Diligence: Conduct background checks on the tenant or landlord to avoid potential issues.
- Witnesses: Have the agreement witnessed by a third party to add an extra layer of security.
- Documentation: Keep all communications and agreements in writing to avoid misunderstandings.

While it's doable, having an experienced agent can help you navigate complexities and ensure a smooth tenancy process. Feel free to reach out for expert guidance and peace of mind!
