I'm selling my flat due to divorce. My ex husband is getting an agent to sell the house. What are the consequences i would face if i don't have an agent or is it advisable if i hire a lawyer to see throughout transaction. I intend to wait for Sept HDB release of sales flat for myself and the kids

Afternoon Rozaita,

Since you are selling due to divorce, I would assume that your have the final judgement and court order in hand. Are both of you in taking terms? It would definitely be good to have a salesperson who can communicate on both side. This would prevent any unwanted issues that might arise later, be it agreed selling price, purchased of resale flat or BTO with child under joint custody, etc.
