Im renting out my condo for a 1 yr lease but the tenant stated that there might be a tenancy that his contract might end half a year earlier. I understand that the commission that I'm paying my agent for 1 yr lease is 0.5months. So in this case for a 6 month lease, what will be the procedure and actual amount to pay my agent?

Dear landlord, Typical tenancy agreement does not allow breaking of lease for a 1 year lease. If you choose to accept this arrangement with the tenant, rightfully the salesperson will still deserve his/her full comms of half a month. The usual practise for service fees is half month rental for lease up to 12 months and one month rental for lease up to 24 months. Perhaps you should discuss this over with your salesperson.
