I'm renting a whole unit in a in a 2BR condo. Several times a year my family member or relative stay in my place for a couple of days. Recently the MCST replaced the condo card access with thumb print system. When asked for temporary finger print access for my guest, LL ask me to keep visitors record and proof of relationship. Finger print access for a condo is not normal in the first place and having guest for several days in a rented unit does not break any law in the first place. Is the LL request in compliance with the regulation?

Which regulation are you referring to for this incident? As landlord has rented the apartment to you and the registered occupant stated in the tenancy agreement, technically speaking only these authorised occupants can stay in the apartment. The biometrics registration for condo access is also a security measure in place for the residents. I don't see an issue here for landlord to request for the verification for someone who is staying in the apartment for security and immigration compliance reasons.
