I'm planning to buy a HDB flat first and then sell my private condo, how can I ask IRAS for exemption Of paying extra 2nd property tax of 7%, by when I must sell the condo? if no buyer can I ask foe extension? Thanks

Afternoon Raymond,

As you are buying HDB unit, you are not required to request for exemption on ABSD. However, you are required to sell off your private property within 6 months from date of key collection of your HDB unit. Assuming that you are still not able to sell it off within 6 months, we can write into HDB and request for extension.
