I'm new to Singapore & looking to rent a small place as close to work as possible, early February 2012. I'm from the UK & on my own so 1 bed is fine. Only requirement is a swimming pool. Budget $3000 - can I get it cheaper? Thanks

Where is your working location? Will Balestier area fit in your requirements? My colleague has a studio unit for rent in Balestier area where rental is only $2300.
