I'm looking to buy a 2 bedroom condo flat below 750K.

What are the problems associated in buying an old property like a 15-20 yr old (in a 99 yr leasehold)? Will the resale value go down with reducing lease period?

Hi Seshu,

If you are buying for investment, I will suggest that you go for new projects. You are right. The resale value of a property will be affected by its remaining lease period. In addition, new projects that just TOP will most probably fetch a higher resale value after a few years rather than an old property.

For your budget of about $750k, you will be able to get a nice 2-bedroom unit in Punggol. My company will be launching a new project, River Isles, in Punggol soon and I am sure this is a very good investment opportunity for you.

Do feel free to give me a call if you are interested of if you need any other help.
