From my personal experience, projects that were developed in late 80s and early 90s are likely match your requirements in terms of space, however, the facilities of projects are likely outdated and should you decide to rent the project out in future or sell, the age of the property could be a major consideration for potential purchasers.
It really boils down to why are you looking at what you are looking for in terms of bigger rooms. Is it a need or is it a preference? Alternatively, you may look into reconfiguration of the layout to match what you are looking for if existing layout can potentially yield the space you are looking for.
