Do take note that you will be subject to additional buyer's stamp duty of 15% if you are purchasing alone but if you purchase it with your spouse as the first property, IRAS will treat it as your matrimonial home thus no ABSD is payable. Only normal estimated 3% buyers stamp duty. And as a foreigner, you are only eligible to purchase 1) condo, 2) apartments and 3) landed (only applicable for Sentosa). Hope it helps! Hi, I am not sure where you read the article from. For foreigner, there is no restriction that you cannot buy a private condo. There are many foreigners coming to Singapore to buy condo.
