If there is no tenancy agreement signed between landlord and tenant. Can tenant terminate the lease by giving less than one month notice?

If upon giving one month notice to landlord, and tenant still need to extend one week stay to fulfill the one month notice.
Can deposit use to offset the extended one week rental?

Hi, if there is no agreement signed, then it is always up to the negotiation between both landlord and tenant. And also, most landlord do not allow offsetting of deposit when it comes to the last month prior to tenant moving out.

    Hi can i ask something. No TA but what we have agreed with the landlord before we transferred. She said that we need to have 1 month notice so we can get our deposit fee and never talked about leasing. And now we wanted to move out before 2 years, and she said we need to finish every 1 year leasing to get the deposit and if cant finish leasing she wants us to get any replacement as alternative. We never said that we wont pay the rent and every month we always pay to her on time. but she still threatened us that she will report to Police, HDB officer and immigration.
