if i find ppty A on propertyguru, which is advertised by the property agent B. subsequently, I contact agent B and after viewing property A, I decide to rent property A. My question is do I need to pay the commission to agent B since agent B is representing landlord of property A.

Hi, most agents would collect their commission directly from their landlord and as a tenant and depending on the rental amount, you do not need to pay any commission most of the time. So you may want to check and verify with both the agents first before you proceed any further.
