Afternoon,

It's tough not being able to market your HDB unit within the 6 months period unless you are asking for very high price, unit are located in very undesired location, serious water leaking issues, have loan shark issues or being marketed by inexperience individuals.
You can definitely sell your HDB back to HDB but they will only purchase it from you at market value price.

Hi Kieran,

It will be a pretty touch challenge to not able to sell your HDB in 6 months. In addition to the problems Mike has pointed out, you should have more than enough time to rectify most of these problem within the 6 months time frame. Should the asking price be a challenge to buyers, I am sure you will also not want to run foul with the regulations and make certain concessions accordingly.

The most important aspect of your sale by then will be not disclosing the timeline for you to sell to buyers such that they will not hold and wait for price to drop.

The nitty gritty details of marketing your unit at a reasonably good price should be well handled by an experienced salesperson thus, I feel that you need not be overly concern by the timeline for sale.

Please let me know how I may assist you further.
