I would like to buy HDB flat without using buyer agent. Any difficulties and any risk?

I didn't get right answer about risk.
One agent ah answered that the process and time frame will be smooth(It is understood).But I need to know about the risk such as any lost of money for...,etc.

Morning,

The agent who have answered your question did give you the full answer. If you do not have the necessary paperwork and eligibility check done properly, it'll delay the S&P process. It might also resulted in voiding of transaction by HDB.

When such case happens, your seller, have all the legal rights to make claims against you, in accordance to the law. You are doing it from the perspective of DIY buyer, hence you may need alot of time to do your homework and yet still missed out on certain details. You are already facing loses in terms of time unless you have a lot of time to spare.
